Jim Cook, CEO
During a career that has spanned over three decades, Jim has been instrumental in helping organisations both large and small to achieve their IT and Business ambitions. With a skill set that ranges from deep technical understanding through business strategy to investor relations, Jim has a strong pedigree in strategic management, technology leadership and business development.
Jim is a Chartered Engineer and gained a Bachelor of Science degree, with honours, in Electrical and Electronic Engineering from the University of Bath, Avon. Jim is also a Fellow of the Royal Society for the Encouragement of Arts, Manufactures and Commerce (RSA).
Jim is active in his local community, serving on his parish council and working on a variety of short and long term projects. To relax Jim enjoys playing and listening to music, gardening and flying helicopters.
Dr Matthew Addis, CTO
Matthew has spent 15 years leading a diverse portfolio of industry-led applied research projects including archiving and digital preservation, service-oriented computing, data mining and knowledge management to name but a few. Matthew has spent over 10 years working closely with broadcasters, post houses and film archives to develop strategies, models, tools and systems for audio-visual restoration, preservation and archiving and is an active writer and speaker in this community. He has a 1st Class honours degree in Physics from the University of Oxford and a PhD awarded for research in solid state physics.
When he’s relaxing Matthew enjoys having fun with the family, photography, cycling and driving a Bugatti Veyron.
Andy Conway, COO
Andy brings 20 years of experience of designing and running IT operations for both large and small enterprises. With executive level experience Andy is used to directing technical operations that deliver innovative and effective managed services for his clients. Most recently Andy was responsible for the implementation and management of a highly resilient core network encompassing both connectivity and hosting components used to deliver services to over 2,000 customers. In addition to providing technical leadership Andy also manages Arkivum’s relationships with its partners and customers to ensure its core systems remain customer focussed.
In his spare time Andy enjoys snow boarding, golf and listening to music. Andy definitely does not enjoy gardening and to this point has not flown a helicopter.
